About

Bozhou Airport is a proposed development to serve Bozhou City, Anhui Province. Plans to commence construction of the facility are set for 2021. The new airport is expected to facilitate services to Shanhai, Xian, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Harbin and Sanya. The project includes a 2600m x 45m, a 6000sqm terminal and six category C aircraft parking bays.


Dec-2021. Anhui Province commenced works to develop Bozhou Airport. Bozhou will be equipped with a 2600m runway and 6078sqm passenger terminal to handle up to 550,000 passengers p/a by 2025. The airport is expected to be completed and commissioned in 2024.

Aug-2021. CAAC East China Regional Administration approved the preliminary design plan and budgetary estimates for the Bozhou Airport development project. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY1.1 billion (USD170.2 million) to develop and will be equipped with the following:

  • 2600m runway;
  • Two parallel taxiways;
  • 6078sqm passenger terminal;
  • Eight aircraft parking stands;
  • 930sqm cargo handling facility.

Jul-2021. Anhui Province plans to commence works to develop Bozhou Airport in Sep-2021.

Oct-2019. Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission stated Bozhou Airport feasibility study report passed assessment by CAAC on 16-Oct-2019. The commission will cooperate with Bozhou Municipal Government and CAAC to accelerates preparation work for airport construction.

Apr-2019. Bozhou Airport's project proposal received approval from China's National Development and Reform Commission and Central Military Commission on 29-Mar-2019. The CNY866 million (USD129 million) airport is designed as a category 4C airport with one 2600m runway, one 6000sqm terminal building, apron with six aircraft parking slots and relevant supporting facilities. The airport is targeted to handle 550,000 passengers and 1900 tonnes cargo p/a by 2025.

Aug-2018. Bozhou Airport plans to commence construction in 2020 instead of 2019. The airport expects to handle 550,000 passengers, 1900 tonnes cargo and 5671 aircraft movements p/a upon completion.

Mar-2017. Bozhou Airport plans to commence construction in 2019, expecting to see the launch of services to Shanghai, Xian, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Harbin and Sanya. The construction project includes a 2600m x 45m runway, a 6000sqm terminal and six category C aircraft parking bays.
