Bila Tserkva International Airport is a proposed project by Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure to develop an international airport in the central Ukrainian city, the largest city in Kiev Oblast.


Feb-2020. Kyiv Oblast State Administration's Head Alexei Chernyshev said work is being conducted to accelerate the achievement of international status for Bila Tserkva International Airport in order to attract new airline partners. Mr Chernyshev noted airports in the vicinity of the capital tend to attract LCCs. Mr Chernyshev added a passenger and cargo terminal are to be constructed at the airport.

Feb-2019. Ukraine's Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan identified the development of an international multimodal transport hub at Bila Tserkva as a priority development direction. The opening of a border control point at Bila Tserkva Airport will also help to expand MRO services.

Dec-2018. Ukraine's Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandra Klitina stated runway restoration and terminal construction work at Bila Tserkva International Airport is estimated to require a EUR59 million/USD67 million investment. Mr Klitina added work commenced on the assignment of international status to the airport. Bila Tserkva Airport plans to receive international status in 2019.

Jul-2018. Bila Tserkva cargo aviation complex director Sergey Kandaurov said preliminary feasibility studies for the development of a transport hub at Bila Tserkva were presented at a meeting held by Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure.

Feb-2018. Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure announced plans to establish a new international airport on the basis of an existing airfield at Bila Tserkva by 2020. The airport is expected to serve passenger and cargo services and feature multimodal transport infrastructure and an aircraft maintenance and repair centre. The project is estimated to require an investment of EUR52 million/USD63.6 million and could be funded by a range of public and private sources.
