Baoji Airport

Baoji Air Base serves the city of Baoji, Shaanxi Province, China. The facility is a military facility, that is planned for reconstruction during the 13th five year period. The air base will become a 4C category regional airport, featuring a 6000sqm terminal building capable of handling 600,000 passengers and 3000 tonnes of cargo p/a.

Feb-2024. Baoji Airport construction and expansion works are expected to begin in Jun-2024 following China's National Development and Reform Commission approving the project's feasibility study report. The CNY1.6 billion (USD222.32 million) project involves the construction of a 14,000sqm terminal building and 11 aerobridges.

May-2023. Baoji Airport development works are expected to commence by the end of 2023. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY1.3 billion (USD183.2 million) to develop and will be designed to accommodate up to 1.2 million passengers p/a by 2030. 

May-2022. Baoji Airport development works are expected to commence within the next 12 months. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY1.3 billion (USD194.8 million) to develop and works are expected to be completed and the airport commissioned by the end of 2024. It will be equipped with a 3200m runway and designed to accommodate up to 1.2 million passengers p/a by 2030.

Feb-2017. CAAC reported the reconstruction of Baoji Airport from military to a 4C category regional airport is one of the main project during the 13th five year period. The airport is planned to have a 2800 runway, a 6000sqm terminal building and six aircraft parking bays, with capacity to handle Boeing 737 and A320 series aircraft. The airport will have annual capacity to handle 600,000 passengers, 3000 tonnes of cargo and 7080 aircraft movements.
