About
Ascent Aerospace (formerly AIP Aerospace) is a provider of production and automated assembly systems for the aerospace and defence industry. Ascent Aerospace consisted of the following groups:
- Ascent Tooling Group: designed and manufactured tooling used in the manufacture of composite structures and aerospace assemblies. It consisted of three subsidiaries - Coast Composites, Odyssey Industries and Global Tooling Systems;
- Ascent Integration & Automation: a turnkey solutions provider and tooling supplier. It consisted of Ascent Integration, Brown Aerospace, and Flow Aerospace;
- Ascent Engineering: design and analysis services provider to both internal and external customers, and;
- Gemcor (acquired in Jan-2016).
In 2017, all the groups were consolidated into a cohesive, single Ascent Aerospace.
