Established over 30 years ago by Charles F. Willis, Willis Lease Finance Corporation is headquartered in Navato, California, with a technical service office located in San Diego. The company specialises in leasing spare commercial aircraft engines and other aircraft related equipment to commercial airlines, aircraft engine manufacturers and maintenance, repair and overhaul organisations worldwide. Willis Lease provides both long and short term operating lease, sale/leaseback and engine pooling options. The company has in excess of USD1 billion of total assets and has one of the most diverse engine portfolios in the industry, spanning regional jet and commercial jet engine types.
The company's predecessor, Charles F. Willis Company purchased, financed and sold a variety of large commercial transport aircraft and provided consulting services to the aviation industry up until 1985.
