About
Alcantarí Airport serves Boliva's constitutional capital, Sucre and the surrounding areas of the Alcantari region in the south-central part of the country. Construction works on the new airport were completed in Sep-2015. The airport officially commenced service operations on 15-May-2016, replacing Sucre Juana Azurduy de Padilla International Airport. Located approximately 25 kilometres south of Sucre, the airport features a 3600m x 45m runway and is operable 24 hours a day.
