About
Westover Airport (Westover Metropolitan Airport) is a joint civil/military facility that serves the cities of Springfield and Holyoake, Massachusetts. The airport is located roughly 11 kilometres northeast of Springfield and is classed as an intermodal transport hub, due to its proximity to major rail lines as well as the major east-west state highway, the Massachusetts Turnpike. The airport is served by numerous charter operators and is popular with general aviation aircraft. The United States Air Force also operate a base on the airport site.
