The airport is an emerging aviation hub in the region and serves the country's major air operators such as Iran Air, Mahan Air, Iran Air Tours, ATA Airlines (Iran) and Iran Aseman Airlines. The carriers, via Shiraz International Airport, operate extensively within Iran, the Middle East, and Asia. The airport is operated by Iranian Airports Holding Company, a state-owned entity under the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
