Shaoguan Guitou Airport is a joint civil/military facility serving Shaoguan, a prefecture-level city in north Guangdong province, China. The facility was built in 1970, commencing operations as an airbase for China's military. Shaoguan briefly handled commercial services between 1986 to 1989. The airport is currently undergoing an expansion that will enable it to recommence commercial operations in the future.
