Santa Maria Public Airport
Santa Maria Public Airport is a publicly-owned airport located approximately 5km south of Santa Maria, California. The airport was opened in the early 1940s and operated as Santa Maria Army Base until 1948, when it became a public airport. The airport was subsequently renamed in 1964 as Santa Maria Public Airport. The airport primarily handles general aviation aircraft, as well as scheduled passenger air services from United Airlines and Allegiant Air.
