Rotorua International Airport serves Rotorua in New Zealand’s central North Island. The airport opened in 1963 and has expanded in order to meet the regions' increasing tourism levels. Air New Zealand operates services to Sydney while its subsidiary’s Air Nelson and Mount Cook Airline operate domestic services. The airport is operated by Rotorua Regional Airport Limited and is owned by the Rotorua District Council.
