Pokhara Airport is a regional airport serving Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal. The airport was opened in Jul-1958 and is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The airport handles domestic air services operated by Yeti, Simrik and Buddha Air. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) plans to replace the facility with an international airport to be developed in Chinnedanda, 3km east of Pokhara’s existing airport. It is planned for completion in 2020, and become one of four international airports serving the country.
