Jandakot Airport is a general aviation airport serving the city of Perth, in Western Australia. The airport serves as a base for a number of charter operators and flying schools, including those from Singapore Airlines and China Southern. The airport is also home to several law enforcement and emergency agencies with aviation detachments including WA Police Air Support, the Department of Environment and Conservation Forest and Bushfire Patrol, the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia (FESA) emergency helicopter and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). In addition, Jandakot plays host to a number of aviation support businesses including those involved in the provision of aircraft maintenance, spares, aircraft sales and the like. The airport was officially privatised on 1-Jul-1998, with Jandakot Airport Holdings securing a 50-year lease with a 49-year option operate the airport.
