Osaka Kobe Airport

City: Osaka
Country: Japan

Kobe Airport is an airport serving the Keihanshin metropolitan region which incorporates Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. It is the smallest of the three major commercial airports in the Kansai region, behind Kansai International and Osaka Itami airports. Yao Airport is a general aviation facility that also serves Osaka. Similar to Kansai International, which is about 25 km to the southeast, Kobe Airport has been built on reclaimed land in Osaka Bay. Kobe is served by Skymark Airlines, Air Do and ANA, all of which operate to domestic destinations.

Kansai Airports Kobe commenced privatised operation of the airport under the terms of a 42 year concession contract during an official ceremony on 09-Apr-2018, with the official ownership change taking place on 01-Apr-2018. Kansai Airports Kobe is a subsidiary of Kansai Airports.
