About

Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev International Airport serves the city of Astana (formerly known as Nur-Sultan), the capital and second largest city of Kazakhstan. Operated by the Airport Management Group (AMG), the airport underwent an expansion after the relocation of the Kazakh capital from Almaty to Astana in 1997, with a new passenger terminal opening in Feb-2005. The airport was renamed in Jul-2017 after the president, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev.
