About

John A Obsorne Airport is the primary airport serving the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat. The airport was completed in 2005 following the destruction of Montserrat’s former capital, Plymouth, and Bramble Airport due to the eruption of the Soufriere Hills volcano in 1997. Between 1997 and 2005, the island was only served by helicopter or ship. Montserrat’s flag carrier FlyMontserrat is based at the airport.
