This British Overseas Territory, which is also part of the chain islands called the Lesser Antilles, is located in the West Indies. The main airport on the island of Montserrat is John A Osborne Airport (MNI), which is also the hub for Fly Montserrat, an airline that offers routes between Montserrat and Antigua only. However other airlines such as SVG Air and Trans Anguilla Airways also operate to the island. No other international carriers operate to this region. Montserrat does not have its own civil aviation authority, relying on the United Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for regulations and standards on the island. Also Montserrat only employs pilots that are approved by the CAA.
