About
Minatitlán National Airport, also known as Minatitlán/Coatzacoalcos National Airport, serves the southern Mexican cities of Minatitlán and Coatzacoalcos. The regional economy is heavily dependent on the oil industry, and was home to the first oil refinery in Latin America. A small number of carriers serve the airport, with connection primarily with the capital Mexico City. The airport is operated by Aeropuertos del Sureste de Mexico (ASUR).
