McKinney National Airport
McKinney National Airport serves the North Texas city of McKinney. Classed as a general aviation reliever airport for the city of Dallas, the airport primarily handles business and private aircraft traffic. Several major corporations such as Texas Instruments, HP and Torchmark base their fleet of corporate aircraft at McKinney. The airport is also home to PHI Air Medical, which provides 24-hour emergency helicopter ambulance services to the area. Several flight schools are also located at the airport along with the only fixed based operator (FBO), city-run McKinney Air Center. The towered airport features a 2133m runway, capable of handling up to 767-sized aircraft and is operated by the city administration.
