Long Beach Airport is an airport located in Long Beach, California. The airport serves the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area the surrounding counties to LA's south. The airport ranks among the smallest commercial airports in the Los Angeles region, however, the airport is a major general aviation facility. It ranks among the busiest airport in the world (in terms of flight movements) due to the large presence of flight schools, charter and air taxi services, private flights and police air operations. The airport is owned and operated by the City of Long Beach.
