Koh Samui Airport
Koh Samui Airport is located 2km north of Chaweng, the main city on the Thai resort island of Koh Samui. Constructed and operated by Bangkok Airways, the airport opened in Apr-1989 and serves as the carrier's southern hub. Thailand's Ministry of Transport plans to construct a competing airport on Koh Samui, yet the project remains in the planning phase.
