Jorge Amado Airport serves the city of Ilheus, Brazil and is the gateway to Bahia state. The airport is served by Brazilian carriers offering services to most major Brazilian cities, and is operated by Infraero. Construction is planned for a second Ilheus International Airport, work on the airport was set to begin in 2015.
