Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport is a public airport situated on the shore of Lake Erie, in the northeast part of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Built in 1947, Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport was the first downtown airport as well as the first municipally owned-and-operated airport in the United States. The airport is owned and operated by the city of Cleveland and serves a growing number of corporate jets and air taxi services.
