Chofu Airport is located 2.2km northwest of Chōfu, a city in the western end of the Tokyo Metropolis. Chofu Airport is administered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The airport's main commercial activity involves handling New Central Airlines commuter services to the islands south of Tokyo.
