Santo Rosa is commonly known as a gateway to California's 'wine county', with its many vineyards and resorts popular with tourists. Scheduled services from US regional carriers connect Santa Rosa with metropolitan centres down the west coast. The airport is operated by the Sonoma County Department of Transport.
