Calbayog Airport serves the city of Calbayog in the Filipino province of Samar. The principal class II airport primarily handles general aviation services as well as schedule services by flagship carrier, Philippines Airlines. Calbayog Airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
Philippines' Department of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines formally inaugurated the upgraded Calbayog Airport on 05-May-2021. The airport will now be able to handle 450 passengers per day from 76 passengers prior to the modernisation. It will also serve as a complementary airport to Tacloban Daniel Z Romualdez Airport and can handle jet aircraft operations.
