Anambra Airport, also known as Umueri Cargo Airport, is an airport serving Umueri (Umuleri) and the surrounding areas of Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria. Anambra State launched the Umueri Cargo Airport project on 11-Apr-2017 and construction was completed in Apr-2021.
Anambra State's Governor Willie Obiano inaugurated Anambra Airport on 30-Oct-2021. Commercial air services were expected to commence at the airport on 30-Oct-2021, but the launch was postponed pending final approval from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. Mr Obiano said Air Peace, Dana Air, Ibom Air and United Nigeria are expected to serve the airport.
