Xejet is a proposed carrier to be based in Lagos and serve Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt. The airline plans to offer premium services using aircraft configured with only business class seats. Xejet received an air operator's certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority in Jan-2022. The carrier's fleet includes a Boeing 737-500 aircraft with a 56 seat layout and an ATR 72 freighter. Xejet also intends to offer engineering and training services.
The airline plans to operate charter and non-scheduled domestic services from the first week of Mar-2022. A revised date has not been provided.
