Wheels Up is a private aviation company headquartered in New York, NY. The carrier operates virtual chartered services with King Air 350i, Citation Excel/XLS, Hawker 400XP and helicopter equipment. Wheels Up adopted a subscription-based model in offering charter and concierge services to members.
Delta Air Lines entered a definitive agreement with Wheels Up to combine Delta Private Jets and Wheels Up. The transaction will partner Wheels Up's membership programmes, digital platform and lifestyle experiences with Delta Private Jets' service, leaving Wheels Up with a fleet of more than 190 private aircraft and more than 8000 members and customers upon closing of the transaction. Delta Air Lines announced the closure of its transaction and partnership agreement with Wheels Up to combine Delta Private Jets with Wheels Up on 29-Jan-2020.
Airshare signed a letter of intent (LOI) to purchase Wheels Up’s aircraft maintenance business on 09-Aug-2023. The transaction is expected to close in 3Q2023, subject to customary approvals and closing conditions.
