About
uSKY AIR is a low-cost regional start-up to be based at Ulsan Airport, South Korea. Subject to approval, the carrier planned to commence operations in 2016 to destinations including Seoul Gimpo, Jeju, Pohang, Yeosu/Suncheon, Yangyang, Wonju, Busan, and Gwangju with CRJ-200/-1000 and/or ATR 42-600 equipment. uSKY AIR conducted flight tests as part of AOC procedures in Apr/May-2016. It was expected to commence operations in May-2016, but faced financial difficulties. uSKY AIR is reportedly seeking private investors, as it plans to launch low-cost service operation from Seoul Gimpo. The start-up also plans to change its name to Prime Air. uSKY AIR d/b/a Prime Air was aiming to launch in 1H2018, a revised launch date has not been advised.
