uSKY AIR is a low-cost regional start-up to be based at Ulsan Airport, South Korea. Subject to approval, the carrier planned to commence operations in 2016 to destinations including Seoul Gimpo, Jeju, Pohang, Yeosu/Suncheon, Yangyang, Wonju, Busan, and Gwangju with CRJ-200/-1000 and/or ATR 42-600 equipment. uSKY AIR conducted flight tests as part of AOC procedures in Apr/May-2016. It was expected to commence operations in May-2016, but faced financial difficulties. uSKY AIR is reportedly seeking private investors, as it plans to launch low-cost service operation from Seoul Gimpo. The start-up also plans to change its name to Prime Air. Subject to approval, the carrier will potentially become the one of six potential LCCs to be based in South Korea (in contention with other proposed Korean LCC start-ups - FlyYangyang, Air Daegu, Air Pohang [launched in Feb-2018], Aero K and Nambu Air). A revised launch date has not been specified.
