Transporte Aéreo Militar
Transporte Aéreo Militar (TAM Bolivia) is a Bolivian based scheduled carrier based in La Paz. The carrier operates as the civilian wing of the Bolivian Air Force operating scheduled services throughout the region with a broad range of equipment. Transporte Aéreo Military’s main hubs are El Alto International Airport, Viru Viru International Airport and El Trompillo Airport. Boliviana de Aviacion will take over Transporte Aéreo Militar civil passenger transport operations effective 16-Dec-2016. Transporte Aéreo Militar is working towards becoming a commercial carrier, planned to commence commercial operations in 2017, subject to regulatory approval. The government plans to register TAM Bolivia as a state enterprise, and implement control measures to improve safety. It has purchased three BAe Avro RJ70 as part of the restructure plans.
