Established in 1990 as Sky King, Songbird Airlines (rebranded as Songbird Airways in Jun-2015) is a US charter carrier previously owned by AerLine Holdings. The carrier operates charter services from its hub at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport, FL. The carrier reportedly operates with a Boeing 737 and 767-200ER aircraft.
In Sep-2015, the carrier's owners stated they are open to offers, seeking to sell the air service operator. USGlobal Airways entered a non-binding LoI with AerLine Holdings on 15-Jun-2017 for the exclusive right to acquire all of Songbird Airways' issued and outstanding shares of capital stock. USGlobal Airways entered a stock purchase agreement with AerLine Holdings for the purchase of all issued and outstanding shares of Songbird Airways' stock for approximately USD6.5 million on 30-Aug-2017. The acquisition was scheduled to close on 15-Oct-2017.
