SaudiGulf Airlines is a full service Arabian carrier based at Dammam King Fahd International Airport. The carrier commenced scheduled operations on 29-Oct-2016, with Dammam-Riyadh service. The airline initially planned to launch operations in 2015, but encountered regulatory and licensing delays with Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). It secured an air operator's certificate from GACA in mid-2016 and commenced international services on 01-Mar-2018 with the launch of Dammam-Dubai service. SaudiGulf is owned by the Al Qahtani Group and became the country's third domestic carrier after Saudia and flynas. The airline's operations were suspended in Jun-2020 due to the coronavirus.
