About

Ravn Alaska (formally Era Aviation) is a US regional airline based at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Ravn provides services to remote towns and communities throughout Alaska, utilising a mixed fleet of turboprop aircraft.

Ravn Alaska, and its parent company RavnAir Group, declared bankruptcy and ceased operations on 05-Apr-2020, due to travel bans amid the COVID-19 pandemic. CEO David Pflieger stated, "Ravn is doing everything possible to get back in the air very soon".

In Jul-2020, Ravn Air Group sold Part 121 carriers Ravn Alaska and PenAir and related assets as a going concern to FLOAT Shuttle. The ownership and control of Ravn Alaska and PenAir is scheduled to move to FLOAT following the closure of all sales from the auctions held by Ravn Air Group.

Ravn Alaska has since resumed scheduled services after obtaining route authority from the US Department of Transportation as of 20-Nov-2020.

On 07-Jul-2021, US Department of Transportation (DoT) approved an application by Ravn Alaska to rebrand under the name Northern Pacific Airlines, effective immediately. DoT stated the carrier complied with requirements of Part 2015 and has now deregistered the name Ravn Alaska.
