About
Established in 2006, RAK Airlines was the national airline of Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates. The airline operated under a "value-for-money" business model, positioning itself between low-cost and full service carriers. RAK operated scheduled service to destinations in the Middle East, Asia and North Africa. After downsizing and an attempt to remodel as an LCC in Nov-2013, RAK Airways announced (01-Jan-2014) it would suspend all operations until further notice, effective 01-Jan-2014.
