Pan American Airways
About
Pan American Airways was the sixth planned iteration of the former iconic airline, Pan American World Airways. The start-up was to be formed under Pan American Airways Global Holdings, reportedly to serve US southern tier markets from its hub at Hartsfield-Jackson, launching services in 2H2014. On 20-Oct-2013, Pan American Airways Global Holdings signed an exclusive agreement with Eaton–Texas Investments, Inc. to acquire its equity stake in the assets of the former Ryan International Airlines. Pan American was to operate Boeing 737-800 equipment. The airline ceased all plans to proceed with the launch on 11-May-2014, citing certification and compliance problems.
