About

Norwegian Air International Ltd was the long haul subsidiary of parent LCC, Norwegian Air Shuttle. Norwegian Air International Ltd held an AOC and operating licence granted by the Irish authorities and was based in Dublin. The airline operated Boeing 787-8 and 737 equipment, all of which were registered in Ireland.

On 18-Nov-2020, Norwegian reported the Norwegian Government decided to withhold further support from the airline. As a result, the company has resolved to initiate an examinership process in Ireland relating to its subsidiary Norwegian Air International, its wholly-owned asset company Arctic Aviation Assets (AAA) and some of AAA's subsidiaries, in order to reduce debt, rightsize the fleet and secure new capital. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA will also enter in and get protection of the Irish examinership process as a related party.
