Norwegian Air Argentina was the Argentine subsidiary of Norwegian Group, headquartered in Buenos Aires. Norwegian Air Argentina S.A. was registered on 25-Jan-2017. The company outlined its operations, from MRO to leasing to aircraft acquisition, passenger transport and aviation schools. Norwegian established the Argentine affiliate as an operator of cabotage services and is planning a USD4.3 billion investment in Argentina in the next eight years, with plans to commence operations with a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, and operate a fleet of 70 aircraft by its eighth year. Under a five to seven year plan, the airline hopes to launch international services to Australia, the US, Europe and South America. The carrier launched on 16-Oct-2018, with Buenos Aires Aeroparque–Cordoba and Buenos Aires Aeroparque-Mendoza services.
On 31-Aug-2021, Norwegian announced it has no plans to resume operations in Argentina, in line with its new regionally focused operating strategy.
