Nordica
About
Nordica was established by the Estonian Government to arrange services left by defunct flagship carrier, Estonian Air. The European Commission determined the state funding Estonian Air received was not in line with European Union regulations. Following the decision, Estonian Air suspended all air service operations, effective 08-Nov-2015. Nordica is part of Nordic Aviation Group which initially operated as a virtual carrier until the announcement of its brand, Nordica, which was introduced in Mar-2016. The virtual carrier commenced full service operations on its first Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft on 20-Jan-2016. Nordica signed a renewed cooperation agreement on 21-Jun-2019, with LOT Polish Airlines taking over the management of ticket sales and customer service while Nordica resumes operating air services. Nordica launched scheduled services under its own airline certificate and IATA code on 01-Aug-2021.
Nordic Aviation Group (NAG) will file for bankruptcy of Nordica and Xfly.
