Moxy Airways is a proposed low cost start-up by private investors including David Neeleman, founder of JetBlue and Azul. The new airline plans to operate point-to-point services between secondary airports using C Series aircraft. Moxy placed an order for 60 CS 300 aircraft (rebranded as A220-300) in mid 2018, and plans to launch services from early 2021.
On 17-Jul-2018, Airbus announced a new US start-up signed an MoU for 60 A220-300 aircraft. The new carrier is reported to be backed by investors led by David Neeleman. Deliveries are expected to commence in 2021. Mr Neeleman stated the start-up will operate as a "technology company that just happens to fly airplanes".
