Lynx Aviation
About
Lynx Aviation was formed by Frontier Airlines, Inc in 2006 to provide feeder services for Frontier Airlines from regional points within a 650-mile radius of Denver. Originally set to begin service in May 2007, it launched in September using Horizon, ExpressJet and Republic to provide service until it gained its type certificate in Dec-2007 and begun operating under its own operating certificate.
In Jan-2011, Republic Airways Holdings, Inc announced that it had reversed an earlier decision to close Lynx Aviation, and stated it would continue Lynx services with Q400s indefinitely. Lynx Aviation eventually merged into Republic Airways by mid-2011.
