Link Airs, which was set to become Japan's first regional LCC, reportedly dismissed all of its 100 employees on 09-Dec-2013 and commenced preparation for bankruptcy procedures with a debt of around JPY900 million (USD9.2 million).

Based in Fukuoka, the carrier was to be supported by StarFlyer and planned to launch services with three ATR72-600s on domestic and short-haul international services.
