Lao Central Airlines
Established in 2010 as Phongsavanh Airlines, Lao Central Airlines was a privately owned airline based at Wattay International Airport (VTE) in Vientiane, Laos. Also known as Central Airlines, the airline operated regional services with a fleet of Boeing 737s.
Lao Central Airlines suspended international air services in Dec-2013, due to political unrest in it's key market, Thailand. It's Vientiane-Luang Prabang service was later suspended in Jul-2014, as the airline began a restructuring programme. Lao Central planned to relaunch operations with regional services to Da Nang, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur and Siem Reap using SSJ100 aircraft in 2015. A new relaunch date has not been specified.
