Kwacha Airlines was a Malawian start-up that planned to launch on 01-Sep-2018. The carrier was expected to operate domestic and international services, having had plans to launch both passenger and cargo operations from Lilongwe International Airport with Boeing 737-700 aircraft. It received an air services license from Malawi's Ministry of Transport and Public Works in Apr-2018, and is owned by local investors. A revised launch date has not been specified, it is assumed that the carrier has abandoned plans to launch operations..
