The carrier was founded in 2010 and operated scheduled and charter services from its base in Chiang Mai International Airport to destinations throughout Thailand. Kan Air was privately owned by Somphong Sooksanguan and operated with a fleet of turboprop aircraft. The carrier suspended operations from 21-Apr-2017 due to equipment issues.
