About
Himalaya Airlines is Nepalese carrier based at Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport. A relaunch of the carrier formerly known as Yeti Airlines International, Himalaya Airlines was established by the governments of Nepal and China as an operator of international and domestic services from Kathmandu. The carrier commenced scheduled operations on 12-Apr-2016, with a Kathmandu-Colombo service. The airline is backed by Yeti World Investment (an affiliate of Yeti Airlines Group), HIF Aviation Investment Company and Tibet Airlines. Tibet Airlines holds a 49% stake in the company while HIF Aviation Investment and Yeti World Investment will jointly hold the remaining 51%.
