Gowair is a proposed carrier to serve the Canary and Balearic Islands. The new carrier is part of Grupo Gowaii, a specialist tour operator headquartered in Tenerife. According to the tour operator, Gowair will specialise in charter, wet lease and ACMI lease services. The start-up will launch service operations in 2017, using two Airbus 320 aircraft. Grupo Gowaii stated it is in the process of obtaining an Air Operator's Certificate. Gowair received its first A320-200 on 13-Jul-2017.
