GLO was a public charter based at New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport. The carrier launched service operations on 14-Dec-2015, with a New Orleans-Shreveport service utilising 30-passenger Saab 340B aircraft. GLO plans to restore daily services on gulf and mid-south sectors, providing an alternative to business and leisure travellers.
The carrier temporarily suspend service on 15-Jul-2017 as it seeks a different wet lease operator. Corporate Flight Management terminated its agreement with GLO in Apr-2017. GLO Airlines' acting trustee Henry G Hobbs Jr filed a motion to transfer the carrier to chapter seven of bankruptcy, after the startup carrier filed for chapter 11 bankrupty in Apr-2017 in an attempt to reorganise. The move to chapter 7 liquidation was executed on 26-Sep-2017.
