Flybondi is a proposed Argentine low-cost carrier that plans to launch operations on 01-Jan-2018. Argentine entrepreneur Gaston Parisier and CEO Julian Cook stated a crowd-funding programme commenced in Aug-2016, with plans to launch the first ultra low-cost carrier in Argentina. The start-up plans to operate with a fleet of Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, configured with 189 seats. Flybondi plans to establish its first operations hub at Cordoba Pajas Blancas International Airport, followed by operations to El Palomar Airport in the greater Buenos Aires area. Flybondi raised an additional USD75 million in start up capital from Cartesian Capital Group, Yamasa, Michael Cawley (former COO at Ryanair), Michael Powell (former CFO at Wizz Air), as well as other European and Argentinian private investors.
