flyafrica.com (Zimbabwe flyafrica) was a low cost carrier based at Harare Airport. The airline was a JV between Flyafrica Ltd and nu.com. The carrier provided domestic and regional services. flyafrica operated a fleet of ex-CSA Czech Airlines B737-500 aircraft. flyafrica was forced to ground all services in Oct-2015, after the CAAZ revoked it's AOC.

In Jan-2016, the airline had it's suspension lifted by the CAAZ, after the airline complied with all regulatory requirements. Current AOC Holder, Nu Aero, stated flyafrica.com will terminate its franchise agreement with FlyAfrica Limited and rebrand as Nu Aero after securing a new individual investor. The company was acquired by Mugwagwa Holdings in Jun-2017 and sought to recommence operations. Chairman Cassidy Mugwagwa stated the airline secured two Boeing 737 aircraft to resume services. The airline intends to target the Harare-Bulawayo and Harare-Johannesburg markets and will consider acquiring a 42 to 50-seat aircraft for domestic routes. The carrier is also developing a new booking engine and website and plans to enter a call centre, online booking, sales and management agreement with Airconnect, a subsidiary of Muwagwa Holdings.

flyafrica received an AOC in May-2017, according to Mr Mugwagwa. The airline reportedly planned to resume operations on 15-Apr-2018 with Johannesburg-Harare and Johannesburg-Bulawayo services. A revised launch date has not been advised, however the CAAZ has suspended the aforementioned AOC. flyafrica is undergoing recertification according to Chairman Cassidy Mugwagwa.
